Rules PDF Print E-mail

All Attendees must follow the below rules at all times. Two major rules at JYG are to honor our Lord Jesus Christ and to have FUN. It is very difficult for the group to have a good time when someone is disruptive. We hope you will understand and cooperate with these policies.

  • Always be respectful to the leaders, other JYGers, and the Church facilities
  • Be quiet and attentive during the lesson time
  • Follow directions during game time and participate in activities
  • Do not leave the group without first asking permission from a leader
  • No foul language or inappropriate clothing
  • No CD players, walkmans, computerized games etc. unless asked by a youth leader to bring them

Leader to Ask (LTA)

Each meeting there is one leader you must ask for permission to leave the group at any time (bathroom, use the phone, get a drink, etc.) Each meeting on the front whiteboard will be the LTA. No other leader may give permission for you to leave the group so make sure you ask the correct leader!

Dress Policy

Below is what the leadership of the Jr. Youth Group has determined as inappropriate attire. We appreciate your consideration when dressing for our group. We will have extra clothing available at our meetings for you to wear if you arrive in something inappropriate. Remember: We are not here to nitpick your wardrobe. Thats not what this is about at all. We want our time together to be all about focusing on the Lord and having fun, but if your clothes are such that you are drawing attention away from those things and onto yourself, then it has to be addressed, thats all.

Girls:

  • Any shirt that reveals the belly, excessive portions of the back or dipped revealing low in the neckline.
  • A tank top with straps less than three fingers wide or does not hide the bra straps/ lingerie style.
  • Shorts that come higher than fingertips of hands when arms and hands are placed comfortably at one’s side.
  • Any shorts or sweatpants with writing on the seat to draw attention.
  • Tight clothes. Here is the gray area. Skin tight is too tight of course. We must consider the question: are drawing attention to ourselves or to Christ?
  • Two piece bathing suits (tankinis that cover the belly are ok).

Guys:

  • Any tank tops or sleeveless shirts or Underarmor tight spandex.
  • Pants that ride low enough to reveal undergarments.
